Academia Montis Regalis (Early Music Ensemble)
Alessandro De Marchi (Μαέστρος)

“Alla rustica” is the name of one of Antonio Vivaldi’s most popular concerts – no wonder, because here you can hear the fiddlers in the countryside tuning their instruments and the farmers dancing to rustic sounds. Alessandro de Marchi has selected other works for this piece and shows the popular roots of this wonderfully vital music. Maestro de Marchi has been a fixture on the early music scene for years and has recorded this programme with the ensemble of his home country, the Academia Montis Regalis. The result can be heard: The Academia’s playing is fresh, musical, daring, but by no means over-excited or brittle, but of a round, sensual ensemble sound that is seldom heard
