Elena Denisova (Violin)
Alexei Kornienko (Μαέστρος)

Wherever Elena Denisova performs, press and audiences attest to her highly mature musicality, individual interpretation and outstanding virtuosity. She sees herself as an “ambassador of tonal magic” and her interpretations of both classical and modern works bear that hallmark.

Denisova studied with Oistrakh pupils Valery Klimov and Oleg Kagan and began her amazing career in 1990, which has given her the opportunity to perform with famous orchestras (including the Royal Philharmonic of London), at festivals (including Salzburg) and at renowned concert series (at venues like the Musikverein of Vienna).

She founded the Austrian Gustav Mahler Association, the Gustav Mahler Ensemble, the Collegium Musicum Carinthia string orchestra and the Classic Etcetera venture, and since forming it in 2002 has been Director of the Woerthersee Classics Festival, which enjoys a high international reputation.

When Denisova performs, she touches and fascinates her audience and the critics: “Absolutely remarkable!” cheered the French newspaper Le Courier Picard, while in the Hamburg-based weekly Die Zeit we read: “Unbelievable, that Denisova!”, and The Strad trade magazine said of the consistently authentic, sympathetic and modest artist: “Worthy of serious investigation!”
